Optical microscopy of fibres spun from polymer/silica aerogel particle solutions with weight rations (a) 1:1, (b) 1:2, (c) 1:4, (d) 1:6 and (e) 1:8. It is seen that the amount of particles increases until the silica aerogel particles packs closely in the fibre.
